Dear *|FNAME|*

It's been a while since our last newsletter, but it's been that kind of year...

Neighbourhoods, placemaking, recipe collections and a new edition of our Memoir Toolkit have filled our 2020 work year. Go behind the scenes by clicking your way through this email or exploring our new website and please get in touch if you'd like to talk about any of these projects.

Most importantly - we wish you all a peaceful, safe and relaxing summer break.

Happy reading
Emma and Susan
KNOW YOUR 'HOOD
Know Your 'Hood walks are our contribution to community- and place-making:
Fine-grained local community history + walking + neighbourhood tourism = neighbourhoods that have depth, stories and integrity.

Our local history for local walkers project is inspired by this ‘year of Covid', and the pressing need for accessible, positive experiences, engaged communities, and for the places where we live and work to be meaningful as well as liveable.

It's early days yet but we have big plans and warmly invite collaborations from across the local government, placemaking, heritage and well-being sectors.

NEW EPPING'S
'CITY IN THE SUBURBS'
We've been turning our hand to ensuring history and heritage are front and centre in new placemaking.

Genuinely integrating the stories of the past into new developments and urban planning creates places that residents, workers and visitors can get to know, appreciate and feel connected to.

We're excited to be on the starting blocks with Riverlee for their New Epping development.

MAY I HELP YOU WITH YOUR HOUSEKEEPING?
If you were caught up in the sourdough frenzy of the first lockdown and have tried to make resourcefulness and self-sufficiency a part of your life in 2020 you'll enjoy this reflection on a collection of 1930s and '40s recipes found in a Coburg garage sale.
